Volunteer to transport animals for Rural Animal Rescue Effort (RARE)

Runner / Transporter

A runner assists with driving animals to vet appointments, adoption events, home visits, or  picking up and delivering donations. We need transporters in most areas of middle Tennessee.

A transporter drives longer trips, usually to west Tennessee or to Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Mt Vernon is about 8 hours of driving. Vehicle and gas are provided, trips are on Wednesdays or Thursdays.

Event Volunteer

Events are held monthly at different locations across middle Tennessee. Event volunteers help set-up, handle dogs, interact with the public, and clean up. They are required to be present for the entirety of the event and assigned set-up/clean up time.

The cattery houses many of our cats and kittens. Volunteers are needed for changing litter, socializing cats and kittens, sweeping, mopping, laundry, etc.

Anyone interested in volunteering in any capacity must fill out the
