RARE's mission is focused primarily on serving rural communities across northwest and middle Tennessee that lack animal shelters or rely on small municipal animal control facilities that euthanize for space. We rescue animals from these underserved areas, respond to stray and abandoned dogs and cats, and help animals escape neglect, cruelty, and other dangerous situations. Through our network of foster homes—primarily in the Greater Nashville area—we provide medical care, rehabilitation, and the second chances these animals deserve while working to find them loving forever homes.
