Higgins needs a foster so we can bring him into RARE. 💙
Higgins is a 2–3-year-old Great Pyrenees with the calmest, gentlest demeanor. When we met him at the rural pound, the other dogs were understandably excited and barking in their pens. Higgins? He just stood there wagging his tail and smiling at us.
He is such a mellow dude—sweet, steady, and happiest just being near people. One of his favorite moves is to stand right between your legs and lean into you for attention.
Higgins is also very skinny right now and needs to gain some weight. We would love to get him out of the pound, into a comfortable home, and give him the time, good food, and care he needs to fill out and feel his best.
He also has the most beautiful grey brindle markings on his coat, unlike anything we’ve ever seen on a Great Pyr.
Higgins did really well with Guppy, who is about as chill and relaxed as they come, so we think he could do well with other calm, submissive dogs.
We would love to bring this special boy into rescue, but we cannot do it without a committed foster.
RARE provides ALL food, supplies, veterinary care, and support—including everything Higgins needs to get healthy and gain weight. You provide the safe place that gives him his way out.
