Tony’s Tale of Forever

Tony’s journey with RARE began in December 2023, when he was found as a stray at just five months old. From the start, he was a playful, goofy pup who loved everyone and everything. Despite his sweet personality, Tony never received much adoption interest and patiently waited for his chance at a forever home.

One of our longtime fosters, Kat and Jason, had mentioned that if Tony was still waiting once their current foster pup found a home, they would open their hearts and home to him. Sure enough, Tony was still waiting—and that’s when his life took a joyful turn.

For the past few months, Tony has been thriving with Kat, Jason, their RARE alum Autumn, and their two cats. Last week, we got the best news: they had officially fallen in love with Tony and decided he was already home. They made it official—Tony is now part of their forever family!

Now, Tony’s days are filled with beach vacations, daily snuggles, and all the love a dog could dream of. Stories like Tony’s remind us why we do this work—the happy endings are truly priceless.
