Adoption Update: 8 of 9 Cane Corso Puppies Find Their Forever Homes!

We are thrilled to share a heartwarming update from one of the most heartbreaking cruelty cases we’ve worked this year. Back in February, nine Cane Corso puppies were rescued from unimaginable conditions. They had been subjected to inhumane “at-home” ear cropping, left to suffer in filth, and were forced to eat their own feces to survive. It was one of the worst cases of neglect and abuse we’ve encountered.
But today, we’re celebrating resilience, healing, and hope.
Eight of these incredible pups have now been adopted into loving, forever homes! Thanks to the outpouring of generosity from our RARE family and supporters, we were able to provide the urgent medical care they so desperately needed—from treating their infections and wounds to ensuring they had the proper nutrition, socialization, and love to recover both physically and emotionally.
Each of the adopted puppies is thriving in their new environment. They’ve blossomed into gentle, affectionate companions with wonderful temperaments. Their new families report they’re great with children, other animals, and have quickly become beloved members of their households.
But our work isn’t quite done yet.
Gwenyth, the last of the litter, is still waiting for her perfect match. She’s just as loving, resilient, and special as her siblings—ready to give her whole heart to the right family. Please help us by sharing her story far and wide. Let’s get Gwenyth home.
To everyone who has supported us through this case—from donors and volunteers to adopters and advocates—we can’t thank you enough. This victory belongs to you, too.
With gratitude,
The RARE Team
