Adopted - Grizzly’s Happy Tail

We are overjoyed to announce that Grizzly, our feisty yet absolutely adorable 6½-pound Chihuahua, has found his forever home — and what a perfect match it is!

Grizzly’s journey began in a rural pound with only outdoor kennels. During a severe rainstorm, we were urgently contacted by a dedicated networker — the kennels were flooding, and this tiny, nameless Chihuahua was in real danger. Without hesitation, we said yes. Grizzly was whisked away to safety, just in time.

Once in our care, it became clear that Grizzly had endured more than just bad weather. He was suffering from significant dental disease and needed a full dental cleaning, neuter surgery, and several other medical treatments. We made sure he got everything he needed to become healthy and whole again.

When Grizzly was finally ready for adoption, we received a thoughtful application from a woman whose story touched us deeply. She had recently lost her beloved pit bull to cancer just a month prior and was now facing her own battle with breast cancer. Despite undergoing chemotherapy, her spirit was warm and resilient. She told us about her strong support system, including her loving parents who even came to meet Grizzly to ensure he would be part of a family, not just her life.

Grizzly, who had always been cautious and even grumbly around strangers, did something amazing — he fell in love with her immediately. It was as if he knew. From that first moment, a special bond formed, and we all knew this was meant to be.

Since then, we’ve received the sweetest photos and videos of Grizzly enjoying his new home, snuggled up next to his new mom, tail wagging, heart full. She’s shared how much he means to her during this difficult time and how his presence brings her comfort, strength, and laughter when she needs it most.

Grizzly didn’t just find a home — he found his person. And we’re so honored to have been part of both their journeys.
