Meet Tortilla!

The Cornfield Litter were found after being dumped in a cornfield near a home. A kind couple did everything they could to care for them, making sure they were fed and safe, but with so many puppies and no way to contain them, they knew they needed help.

Tortilla, affectionately called Titi, is the perfect blend of sweet, silly, and independent 💛

This girl has such a special personality. She loves her people deeply but also has a confident, easygoing side that lets her entertain herself or relax nearby.

Tortilla loves:
• Playing and wrestling with her foster sister 🐶
• Being carried around the house like a baby 🥰
• Hearing an enthusiastic “good girl!” - praise is her love language 💕
• Meeting and loving on people (she’s a fan of everyone!)
• Sticking close to her “person,” especially when she wants a little reassurance
• Chewing on toys… and occasionally getting creative (paper towel rolls beware 😄)
• Exploring outside and sniffing everything she can 🌿
• Sweet potato treats: her absolute favorite! 🍠

Titi is:
• A great mix of independent and affectionate
• Happy to play on her own or with other dogs
• A sometimes cuddler; she may curl up with you or lounge nearby on the couch
• A wonderful listener who responds best to positive reinforcement and praise

Like all puppies, Tortilla will need:
• Continued training and consistency
• Socialization to help her keep building confidence
• Guidance through typical puppy behaviors like chewing
• Plenty of love, patience, and positive reinforcement

Tortilla is such a well-balanced, loving little pup with a personality that’s equal parts fun and heartwarming.

✨ If you’re looking for a sweet, smart girl who will love you deeply (and thrive on your encouragement), Titi is ready to be your perfect match.

Steps To Adopt

Read the adoptable’s bio above, including their adoption fee Go to RARErescue.org and read our ADOPTION PROCESS page under the "Adopt" section Complete the DOG ADOPTION INTEREST FORM (located on our website RARErescue.org) We understand that it is important to you to find the right fit for your family. We feel the same way! The DOG ADOPTION INTEREST FORM is important and REQUIRED for this reason. All of our Adoptables are:Spayed/neutered; Up to date on vaccines; Heartworm tested if six months or older (& kept on heartworm preventative and treated for heartworms if positive when entering our program): Microchipped prior to adoptionBREEDS: We are not breed experts. The breed(s) listed for each adoptable are best guesses or suggestions.PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption. Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care. As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.***If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance and local adaptability. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 1.5 hours driving distance.
