Meet Sofía!

If you're looking for a kitten with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Sofía is ready to meet you.

Sofía is one of the Bad Bunny litter kittens! She's a gorgeous girl with the sweetest face and the most gentle spirit. Sofía's outer beauty is mirrored by her personality. She just wants to be near you and soak up all your love. As soon as you touch her, she starts purring. She's a constant companion who is ready to curl up on your lap at a moment's notice.

She gets along great with her siblings and her fosters' resident cats! She's also done well with kids and she's at the perfect age to introduce to dogs! She is certainly playful, but she really loves to just be near people. Her foster will often be working on her computer and look over to find Sofía just watching her with the sweetest expression.

Sofía has the absolute cutest face and whoever adopts her will be at risk of developing cuteness aggression. You've been warned. Oh, and she has also discovered cheese and window seats. Spoiler alert: she loves both! To put it plainly, Sofía is an absolute joy.

Her story began before she was even born. A kind woman noticed a pregnant stray cat visiting her home and began leaving food out for her. One day, mama disappeared, only to return several weeks later with her kittens in tow. Believing she had found a safe place for them, mama tucked her babies into the wheel well of the woman's car. Thankfully, their tiny cries were heard before anyone drove away. The family quickly brought mama and kittens inside and reached out to RARE for help.

Sofía and her siblings are also expert litter box users, making the transition into their forever homes even easier.

Sweet, social, curious, playful, and loving, Sofía is ready to find a family to call her own.

BREEDS: We are not breed experts. The breed(s) listed for each adoptable are best guesses or suggestions.

PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption.

Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care.  As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.

***If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance and local adaptability. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 1.5 hours driving distance.

Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!
