Meet Madix! 🐾💙
If you’re looking for a tiny dog with a HUGE personality, Madix might be your guy! This 2–3-year-old Chihuahua mix is one of the goofiest little characters you’ll ever meet, and his foster says he brings so much laughter and joy into their home. 🥰
Madix came to RARE a little unsure of the world, but he has made incredible progress in foster care. His transition took only a few days, and before long, it felt like he had always been part of the family. He’s quickly learned his foster’s routine and has adapted beautifully to his new life.
And then there are the zoomies. 😂
When Madix gets going, he becomes a tiny little bullet flying around the house, and his antics are guaranteed to make you laugh. But despite his bursts of energy, he has an equally wonderful off switch. Once he's gotten his zoomies out, he's perfectly happy curling up beside his person and soaking up all the pets and attention he can get.
Madix is:
- 😂 Seriously goofy and full of personality
- 🥰 Extremely sweet and affectionate
- ⚡ Full of playful energy and some epic zoomies
- 🛋️ Excellent at settling down and snuggling
- 👀 Curious and adventurous
- ❤️ Happiest when he's with his people
- 🧠 Smart and quick to learn routines
- 🌟 Adapting beautifully to life in a home
He’s still working on some of his manners, including leash skills and keeping all four paws on the floor when he gets excited. But his foster is seeing him learn and grow every day, and he’s proving to be a wonderfully smart little guy.
Madix is the perfect combination of adventurous, curious, energetic, silly, and incredibly sweet. He wants to experience everything the world has to offer, but at the end of the day, what he really wants is to be next to his person.
Like any dog, he’ll benefit from continued training, consistency, socialization, and appropriate outlets for his energy.
✨ Madix may be little, but he has enough personality to fill an entire house. If you want a goofy little adventure buddy who will make you laugh and then curl up in your lap for cuddles, Madix is waiting for you! 💙🐾
Steps To Adopt
Read the adoptable’s bio above, including their adoption fee Go to RARErescue.org and read our ADOPTION PROCESS page under the "Adopt" section Complete the DOG ADOPTION INTEREST FORM (located on our website RARErescue.org) We understand that it is important to you to find the right fit for your family. We feel the same way! The DOG ADOPTION INTEREST FORM is important and REQUIRED for this reason. All of our Adoptables are:Spayed/neutered; Up to date on vaccines; Heartworm tested if six months or older (& kept on heartworm preventative and treated for heartworms if positive when entering our program): Microchipped prior to adoptionBREEDS: We are not breed experts. The breed(s) listed for each adoptable are best guesses or suggestions.PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption. Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care. As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.***If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance and local adaptability. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 1.5 hours driving distance.
