Meet Bee!
Bee’s journey is one of quiet resilience, growth, and so much heart.
When Bee first came to us, she was coming from a difficult situation where dogs were not receiving the care or socialization they needed. She was heavily pregnant, very under-socialized with people, and absolutely terrified - so much so that walking on a leash wasn’t possible yet.
Within just 12 hours of arriving safely in her foster home, Bee gave birth to her puppies, the Insect Litter, and began her journey not only as a mama, but as a dog finally learning what love and safety feel like.
Thanks to her incredibly dedicated foster, Bee has made amazing progress.
Bee is now:
• Walking beautifully on a leash
• Learning to trust and build connections with people
• Still a bit reserved at first, but warms up quickly (especially if you have treats! and especially if that treat is bread!)
• Gentle, sweet, and quietly affectionate
• Thriving in a safe, loving environment
She may not be the kind of dog who rushes up to strangers right away, but give her a little time, patience, and kindness, and you’ll see her true self shine. The transformation she’s made already is incredible, and she’s only going to keep blossoming.
Bee would do best in a home that:
• Understands she may need a little time to adjust
• Can continue building her confidence
• Will celebrate her progress and support her growth
• Offers her the love and stability she’s always deserved
Bee has already come so far; now she just needs a forever home to continue her journey.
Steps To Adopt
Read the adoptable’s bio above, including their adoption fee Go to RARErescue.org and read our ADOPTION PROCESS page under the "Adopt" section Complete the DOG ADOPTION INTEREST FORM (located on our website RARErescue.org) We understand that it is important to you to find the right fit for your family. We feel the same way! The DOG ADOPTION INTEREST FORM is important and REQUIRED for this reason. All of our Adoptables are:Spayed/neutered; Up to date on vaccines; Heartworm tested if six months or older (& kept on heartworm preventative and treated for heartworms if positive when entering our program): Microchipped prior to adoptionBREEDS: We are not breed experts. The breed(s) listed for each adoptable are best guesses or suggestions.PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption. Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care. As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.***If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance and local adaptability. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 1.5 hours driving distance.
