Right now, this 5 year old husky is living tied to a tree with only a dog house for shelter. His owners have agreed to surrender him to us after admitting they often forgot to feed him.
And somehow… despite everything, Yuma is still incredibly sweet.

He deserves so much more than this life. He deserves soft places to sleep, regular meals, kindness, and people who won’t forget about him.
He's 64 lbs, good with other dogs, has done well with kids, and has been around cats without seeming to mind them, though we can’t know for certain while he’s still tied up. He is also neutered and up-to-date on vaccines.
What’s hardest about dogs like Yuma is knowing how little they’ve been given — and how good they still are anyway. He deserves more than a chain and a dog house. He deserves soft beds, regular meals, walks, affection, and people who won’t forget about him.
We’re ready to bring Yuma into RARE. We just need a foster willing to say yes.
