Meet Paige!
Adoption Fee Will Be Discounted if Adopted Together with Gemma

Paige is a sweet, laid-back little terrier mix who is looking for a home where she can continue enjoying the simple things in life: lounging with her favorite people, playing with her dog friends, and spending time with her very best friend, Gemma.

Paige was originally adopted from our rescue in December 2024. Shortly after adopting Paige, her family welcomed Gemma into the home through another rescue organization. The two quickly formed a special bond and became constant companions, following each other around the house and yard and enjoying life side by side.

When their owners recently determined that having dogs was no longer the right fit for their lifestyle, Paige was returned to our rescue. With permission from Gemma's rescue organization, we also welcomed Gemma into our program so the girls could remain together. Since arriving in foster care, they have continued to show just how much they love one another, and we would love to see them adopted together if possible.

Paige is fully house-trained, has excellent house manners, and does not require a crate. She's an easy companion who is happy to relax around the house, enjoy the yard, or curl up nearby while you go about your day.

Paige gets along well with other dogs overall, but she appreciates good manners and personal space. While she loves other dogs, she doesn't enjoy having unfamiliar dogs rush directly into her face. She may give a corrective nip when first meeting dogs that immediately invade her space or with young puppies that haven't yet learned appropriate boundaries. Once introductions are handled respectfully, she does very well and coexists happily with other dogs.

In fact, Paige absolutely loves to play and wrestle with her foster mom's Chihuahua and enjoys canine companionship when other dogs understand her communication style. Like many mature dogs, she simply prefers friends who respect her personal bubble.

Paige is a wonderful mix of affectionate, independent, and easygoing. She's the type of dog who settles easily into a routine and quickly becomes a beloved member of the family. Whether she's lounging around the house, hanging out in the yard, or spending time with Gemma, she's content just being part of the action.

If you're looking for a calm, well-mannered companion—or if you're interested in giving both Paige and Gemma the forever home they deserve—you won't find a sweeter pair. Their adoption fees will be discounted if adopted together, and we know they would love nothing more than to continue their journey side by side.

Could Paige (and maybe Gemma, too) be the missing piece in your family?

Steps To Adopt

Read the adoptable’s bio above, including their adoption fee Go to RARErescue.org and read our ADOPTION PROCESS page under the "Adopt" section Complete the DOG ADOPTION INTEREST FORM (located on our website RARErescue.org) We understand that it is important to you to find the right fit for your family. We feel the same way! The DOG ADOPTION INTEREST FORM is important and REQUIRED for this reason. All of our Adoptables are:Spayed/neutered; Up to date on vaccines; Heartworm tested if six months or older (& kept on heartworm preventative and treated for heartworms if positive when entering our program): Microchipped prior to adoptionBREEDS: We are not breed experts. The breed(s) listed for each adoptable are best guesses or suggestions.PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption. Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care. As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.***If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance and local adaptability. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 1.5 hours driving distance.
