Meet Mollee and Gizmo!

Mollee and Gizmo are a bonded mother-and-son duo with a long journey and even bigger hearts. They were first rescued together in 2016 from a rural, overcrowded shelter and adopted through our program by a kind gentleman. Sadly, due to unforeseen health issues of his own, he was no longer able to care for them and, as required by our adoption contract, returned them to us.

They were then adopted a second time by a lovely couple, but when the husband’s father suffered a stroke, the couple had to move in with him. Unfortunately, due to severe cat allergies in the home, Mollee and Gizmo were once again returned through no fault of their own.

Mollee is a confident, outgoing girl who enjoys meeting new people and settling right in. Gizmo is her sweet, mellow son who may take a little time to warm up, but once he does, he is just as loving and gentle. They have been together their entire lives and share a beautiful bond—often cuddling, grooming one another, and still enjoying playtime together. Watching their relationship is truly heart-melting.

Both Mollee and Gizmo are well-mannered, litter trained, and a joy to have in the home. Cats like them often live well into their late teens, so they still have many wonderful years of love and companionship to give their forever family.

PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption.

Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care. As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.

***If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance and local adaptability. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 1.5 hours driving distance.
